Job Description

The Operations Supervisor Trainee (Ops Manager) manages operations and personnel for locations with approximately 200+ truck units. This role requires strong hands-on leadership, with the ability to achieve results through direct involvement and limited delegation to ensure business objectives and labor requirements are met.

The Ops Manager is responsible for balancing financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset targets while ensuring customer needs are met. This position manages performance against key business metrics, ensures compliance with all company processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and Standard Repair Practices, and adheres to all Maintenance Operations policies and procedures.

  • Strong understanding of labor, financial, quality, safety, and asset processes and metrics
  • High level of personal accountability with a track record of achieving results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems for analysis and decision-making
  • Commitment to safety, quality execution, and customer service
  • Experience with fleet management software and shop environments preferred
  • Completed 4-year college degree required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • 4+ years of operations experience or demonstrated success in a comparable role
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with labor, financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset management processes and metrics
