Inventory Control Coordinator/Internal Auditor

The Inventory Control Coordinator- Internal Auditor is crucial in ensuring that the company's field and distributor inventory is closely monitored, traced, and reconciled physically and systematically. By doing so, this role helps to optimize inventory levels while protecting the company's valuable assets. This position is vital to the company's overall strategy and supports all department goals.

Essential Functions: 

  • Performs territory-wide inventory audits, including scanning products at accounts, offices, and representative storage or offices.
  • Investigate inventory variances-works cross-departmentally to identify the root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in the return and exchange of products.
  • Assists in ordering products.
  • Receive inventory through inventory systems when needed and locate accurately.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy in conjunction with our warehouse/assets team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Results-oriented with the ability to accomplish work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and use of analytics in problem-solving.
  • Maintain high organizational skills and handle multiple high-priority tasks/projects concurrently.
  • Foster positive relationships with all internal and external (sales reps) personnel.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism in a potentially frustrating environment and extreme time constraints.
  • Must be skilled in written and verbal communication techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory systems used by the company.
  • Expect up to 10% traveling to accounts within the territory.
  • The duties of this position can require overtime and overnight travel.

Environmental Conditions: 

  • Indoors in a typical office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes approximately ninety-five percent (95%) of the time.
  • Frequent computer use at workstations for up to two hours at a time.
  • Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
  • May occasionally move (walk or drive) from one work location to another.

Physical Demands: 

  • Attendance and punctuality.
  • Mobility within the office.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs.
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
