A local, growing company in Anchorage, AK is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their maintenance team. The primary duties include performing preventative and routine maintenance on both off-highway and on-highway equipment with a solid understanding of electrical systems, engines, and all major components.
We are hiring both Master Level Diesel Mechanics and mechanically inclined technicians ready to be trained. This is a full-time, long-term Maintenance Repair Technician opportunity with weekly pay and great benefits.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, preferred
- Basic tools required (must meet minimum tool requirements)
- Hands-on diesel mechanic experience required
- Advanced repair skills (engine work, after-treatment, or fuel injection), preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good driving record
- Ability to road test vehicles
- 1–4+ years of relevant experience, preferred
- Valid Class A CDL, preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass drug test and meet any location-specific certification requirements
