A local, growing company in Portland, OR is seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to perform preventative and routine maintenance on off-highway and on-highway fleet equipment. Candidates should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, engines, and all major components.

We’re hiring full-time, long-term Diesel Maintenance & Repair Technicians ready to join a reliable, supportive team environment.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Technical/vocational certification, preferred
  • Basic tools required (must meet minimum tool requirements)
  • 1–4+ years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment experience, preferred
  • Advanced repair skills a plus (engine rebuilds, after-treatment, fuel injection)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to road test vehicles
  • Class A CDL, preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Duties
  • Follow detailed inspection and maintenance checklists
  • Test-drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm repairs
  • Use hydraulic jacks or hoists to lift trucks and heavy parts
  • Inspect brake systems, steering, transmissions, and engines
  • Perform oil changes, lubrication, and battery checks
  • Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts, and attach system components
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning mechanical or electrical parts
  • Maintain organized maintenance records and logs
  • Perform brake and tire work as part of preventative maintenance
