Position Summary:
This role, based in Redmond, OR, operates under the supervision of the Accounting & Administrative Manager. The position is responsible for a wide range of accounting and administrative duties, including accounts receivable, collections, credit account management, accounts payable, payroll processing, and general administrative support. The role also assists with customer service as needed, helping ensure a smooth and professional experience for both internal and external stakeholders.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed, based on business needs.

Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • 2 Saturdays per year
  • 6:45AM-4PM (overtime need may vary)
Responsibilities
  • Accurately applies incoming payments from customers.
  • Responsible for credit and collection decisions and actions.
  • Resolve customer disputes in a professional manner.
  • Processes Lien Releases by collecting applicable information and submitting required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Scans and files all required documents and paperwork.
  • Must be able to meet Daily cash reconciliations deadline.
  • Quarterly and annual rebate processing.
  • Purchase order preparation and receiving.
  • Accounts payable invoice processing.
  • Assists Customer Service department.
  • Backup for bank deposit runs when needed.
  • Keep workspace clean and clutter free.
  • Assists with timekeeping/payroll by collecting payroll forms, auditing and entering missed punches and absence request forms via timekeeping system.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of administering duties and responsibilities.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

Skills/Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus college level accounting.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in collections, accounts receivable and payables required, experience in concrete block and/or sack industry a plus.  Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred, but not required.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
  • Strong aptitude for organizing personal tasks and repetitive duties in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, accounting and mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment to enable effective interaction and the ability to motivate team members, including peers.
  • Working knowledge of the operations Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, a 10-key adding machine, copier, facsimile machine and any other office equipment required to perform duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Valid Driver’s License – Light travel to visit customers and occasional bank deposit.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.  Reach with hands and arms. Talk and listen. Stand, walk and sit.
  • Occasionally required to bend at the waist.  Lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
