Job Description

We are immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Operations Management Trainee. This role is a paid training opportunity to learn how to manage a heavy-duty truck repair shop while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of the business.

The Operations Management Trainee supports shop management processes and assists with cost savings, customer retention, and metric-based initiatives. This is a fast-paced training program that touches every area of the business unit, providing the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to build a strong operations and fleet maintenance background.

Essential Job Functions
  • Learn to manage a heavy-duty truck repair shop while being paid to train
  • Support shop management processes and assist with cost savings initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental Management
  • Participate in a fast-paced program covering all aspects of the business unit
  • Develop operations and fleet maintenance knowledge and skills
  • Manage customer relationship activities, including proactive customer management, issue resolution, and satisfaction
  • Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization without impacting lease customers
  • Partner with Sales staff on customer calls to support new business and customer satisfaction
  • Manage running costs and maintenance overhead
  • Ensure company policies and processes are followed to optimize costs
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure accurate PM scheduling, breakdown management, and vehicle status updates
  • Oversee technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility
  • Relocation within the business unit is required upon completion of the training program
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Build and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels
Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Work schedules are subject to change as the trainee progresses in the program
