Job Description
We are seeking a qualified candidate to perform a combination of customer service and dispatch duties. This role involves answering incoming phone calls, radio dispatching, greeting visitors professionally, processing orders, data entry, truck tracking, and directing drivers with minimal supervision.
Our primary goal is to ensure complete customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service and accuracy.
Strong communication skills are essential, as this position requires regular interaction with management, staff, and customers. The office clerk/dispatcher must be a self-motivated team player with a professional attitude and the ability to stay calm and courteous during challenging customer interactions.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday (every other Saturday)
- 6am - 3pm
- $24/HR DOE
key Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer multi-line telephone, take messages, and relay telephone calls
- Maintains files in an organized and accessible manner to include updating information, purging files on a regular basis and creating new filing systems as needed.
- Prepares a daily delivery schedule and coordinates efficient deliveries by applying knowledge of customer schedules, peak delivery times and alternate routes.
- Understands, interprets and ensures adherence to applicable DOT regulations.
- Operates the dispatch board according to procedures.
- Assist with handling dispatch phones to assist with customers and drivers
